Jacobs Syndrome/ 47, XYY Syndrome

Jacobs Syndrome is a genetic disorder found in men.  This disorder is caused by a deformation in the sperm cell by producing an extra "Y" chromosome. The result is a total of 47 chromosomes opposed to the "normal" 46 chromosomes.  This genetic disorder is often reffered to as the "47, XYY Syndrome".  This genetic disorder shows up in every 1 to 1000 male births.  "XYY Syndrome" is inrepairable.  Treatment may consist of people being more supportive in the learning field of the childhood of the male who is affected by the syndrome.  Other than that, there is no other treatment that may be applied because the disorder is permanent.  The life expectancy of someone who has Jacobs Syndrome is normal to the life expectancy of anyone else who has no medical conditions.  Jacobs Syndrome occurs all over the world and has affected every ethnic group known to mankind.
